Our first day in Delray Beach, Florida

Friday!!! Yay!!! How is everyone’s day going so far?! It is so rainy and chilly here, it’s definitely making today a little tough especially since we were just in perfect weather. I started my morning with a 3 mile run followed by a quick ab circuit! It felt good to get back into my routine yesterday and today!

Today I am going to be sharing all about our first day of vacation. I figured I would break up the posts so that way I don’t overload you with wayyyy too many pictures, because there are a lot!!!

The first couple days of our trip was spent at the Delray Beach Marriott. We love this hotel, especially for their location, pool, and spa. I’ve been going to this hotel for years; my family would actually vacation here years back! We stayed in an alright room, just a king bed with a little view of the ocean. (Our room had a very gross smell towards the bathroom area, like baddddd BO, but since we were only there for 2 nights we didn’t say anything until the end) usually this hotel is very accommodating and management will do anything to make your stay wonderful, but no one seemed to care too much about our gross room. (Bummer. I should have complained right away I guess) Since we weren’t in our room much, our trip was wonderful.

We landed a little after noon and after getting our rental car, we headed straight to the pool to eat lunch. I LOVE their salads and fruit there. Each day we ordered the same thing as before and it was delicious! I ordered a fruit plate, and basically created my own salad with romaine lettuce, oranges, tomatoes, cucumbers, and roasted peppers. Michael ordered a cheeseburger with bacon, fries, and extra pickles (for me). YUMMY!!!!

After that, we changed into our bathing suits and laid by the pool for a couple hours. Michael had made a chiropractor appointment at Shore Chiropractic (his back was really hurting him so badly he couldn’t even move, but after his appointment he felt so much better). I made an appointment for a shampoo/blow dry at Cloud 10 Blow Dry Bar, which was absolutely amazing! (I will have separate posts of reviews for both of our experiences there!)

(Before my blow out)

(After my blow out! Woohoo!)

Then we got all dressed up for dinner!

We went to Anthony’s Pizza. We love it there, especially the one in Delray! I had a glass of moscato, Michael had a gin & tonic, and both waters of course.

I ordered the “family style” Italian salad for my meal, and Michael got a cheese pizza. He also got chicken wings to start! (We already started eating pre pictures, whoops!)

With full bellies, we walked back to our hotel room. We hoped to catch the rest of the Celtics game…but we didn’t get the channel in our room (it wasn’t loading on our TV). So, instead Michael tried to watch on his phone and I crashed for the night!

The first day of our vacation was wonderful. Stay tuned for day two! 😉 Xoxo
