Day 2 in Delray Beach, Florida

Hi guys! I hope you all are kicking off the weekend in a great way! I woke up this morning ready to get my workout on! Today I ran on my treadmill for 3 miles, then did some planks and an abs circuit, kinda like yesterday! I have to go into work this morning for a couple hours, but then it is officially a 3 day weekend over here! What do you have planned for the holiday weekend? Anything fun? I’m hoping Michael doesn’t have to work today so we can spend the day together. It’s a bummer when you get home from vacation (being together all the time) and having to work and having your hubs work doubles and triples each day. But, that’s life!

I’m popping in today to share about our second day in Delray Beach! Missed day one? That’s okay! You can read all about it here. 😉

Our second day was another wonderful one!! Michael woke up around 5am to go on a fishing trip, so I was solo for a couple hours! Thanks to my internal alarm clock, I was awake at 6:30am and was ready to hit the hotel fitness center! I was rocking my Live with Kelly tank! I love it!!

The fitness center is quite small, but it was perfect for me; I just did the elliptical and treadmill for an hour! I actually had the gym all to myself too, bonus!

After my workout, I headed to the hotel breakfast buffet! (Well, of course I showered first). I sat outside and really took in the scenery, relaxed, and took my time! I wish I could eat breakfast out there everyday of my life! My waitress brought a pot of coffee and I went to pile my plate up with fruit and toasted an (unpictured) english muffin at the buffet!

The birds were crazy outside that morning. I got up to ask a waiter for a straw for my coffee and came back to find a bird eating my food!! Ahhh!!! So, I had to grab another english muffin, and not get up again! Haha!! I think they sensed that I was alone or something, because they would not leave me alone…I must have that Cinderella-like effect 😉

After breakfast I headed to nSpa located inside of the hotel for my pedicure appointment!! I absolutely love the spa there, it is so gorgeous!

My pedicure lasted a little over an hour (heavenly), and by the time I was done Michael was back from his fishing trip!! We headed to the pool to lay out, grab some drinks and lunch, and really enjoyed our afternoon!

Later on, we decided to go to Mizner Park in Boca Raton (well, we thought we were going to the Boca Mall, but my GPS on my iPhone brought us there instead, haha!) We walked around, went into Francesca’s to try on a few dresses, and wandered into Starbucks to get an Unsweetened Green Tea for me and an Iced black Coffee for Michael! I loved it in that Francesca’s; the workers were absolutely fabulous and SO helpful! We do have some close to home, but the customer service is nothing compared to that store! I wish I lived around there so I could shop there all the time!! 😉

We drove back to Delray Beach, valeted our car at the hotel, and walked over to Boston’s On The Beach for dinner! We love this restaurant!! We sat right outside and once again enjoyed the scenery (we could see the beach)!

I ordered the Harvest Salad that came with mixed greens, dried cranberries, candied walnuts, and gorgonzola cheese with balsamic vinaigrette. I asked for romaine lettuce instead and no cheese. I also asked for a side of fruit and steamed veggies. Delicious!! Michael ordered the Simply Grilled Chicken that came with grilled chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, and vegetables. Our food was so yummy.

After that, we walked back to our hotel room and crashed for the night. We were both excited for the next day, we couldn’t wait to get to the Bahamas!! 🙂

I hope you all enjoy your Saturday! Xoxo
