Hi guys! Happy Fridayyyyyy!!!
Today I’m sharing more about our time at Sandals Royal Bahamian! This post will specifically be about the food, the restaurants, and our nights at the resort! I’m breaking these posts up, because this would be wayyyyy too long of a post if I just did one. Just a reminder, it is an all-inclusive resort, so drinks and food were included. I mostly requested something off the menus during our dinners, and every server and chef were more than happy to accommodate me. π
Every morning we would go to Spices for the breakfast buffet. They had LOTS of yummy food, good coffee, and of course delicious fruit.
Each afternoon by the pool we would call our butler (De’Angelo and Rohan) to order Michael a pizza, and then we would go sit at Royal Cafe for lunch. I love this spot, because they have a salad buffet, create your own nacho station, ice cream station, and a full menu as well. Michael would order a Royal Burger, or a Steak Baguette, and I would help myself to the salad buffet and the fruit, and order a plain pita bread on the side.
Our first night there our butler made us a reservation at Spices, which it just so happened to be the night they were having the Junkanoo Street Party with fire dancers! We sat outside, and had a perfect view of the entertainment that was going on. We even participated! π It was so much fun!!
(Hi, Peter!!!)
Our waiter, Felix, was excellent!! I had a feeling he has gone through or is going through butler training, because of the way he was acting. He was very nice, very proper, and went above and beyond for us. It was a perfect start to our amazing trip! I ordered a glass of champagne, and Michael ordered the signature cocktail, it was something with cilantro and pineapple. Cheers!
We were given some warm bread with butters, and Michael ordered the chicken wings for an appetizer. For our dinners, I asked for a house salad with vinaigrette dressing on the side, as well as some steamed mixed vegetables. Michael ordered the roasted jerk chicken that came with mashed potatoes and vegetables.
After our yummy dinner, and after the show was over, we went over to the couches near the fire pits, and relaxed. π
Upon returning to our room, we had a card from our butlers. I love everything they did to make our stay so special! Between the cards, the towel animals and roses/flowers on our bed, we were always surprised!
The second night our butlers made us a reservation for Casanova, their Italian restaurant. I wore a romper from Express (where most of my dresses for this vacation are from), I usually don’t look good in rompers, but this one was super cute!!
Luckily, it just so happened that most of our reservations were at 8 so we could catch the gorgeous sunset every day! So beautiful!!!
Once seated at Casanova by our butler De’Angelo, I ordered a glass of champagne and Michael ordered the signature cocktail, which was a lemoncello. Cheers!!
I love Casanova for their amazing Antipasto buffet that has a variety of salads, vegetables, and breads. I helped myself to that (like three times) and Michael ordered their gnocchi for an appetizer (unpictured), as well as their chicken parmesan for dinner. I stole a couple bites of Michael’s gnocchi’s and dreamt I was eating my Grammy’s gnocchi, but it of course didn’t compare. It was still good, but a little too soft.
Our dinner was so delicious, I could’ve eaten there every night! Once again, with full bellies, we went to the fire pits to relax, gaze at the stars, and have some more cocktails. (Champagne for me and gin & tonic for Michael)
By the second night there, I was definitely getting into the habit of staying up way past my bed time (which is usually like 10, haha!), and was definitely able to relax completely. There’s something about the sound of the waves crashing, and the sight of palm trees that totally puts me at ease. Oh, how I wish we lived next to a beach. A girl’s gotta dream, am I right?!
Stay tuned for part two!!! π Enjoy your Fri-YAY!!!! Xoxo
