Helllllooooo and happy Friday to you! I hope your week went by faster than mine did. I seem to be dragging today. I did not sleep well at all….I woke up with a nose bleed (I am trying not to think this way, but every time I get one of those it follows with a sinus infection or a cold or some type of sickness. No thank you!!!) and then couldn’t fall back asleep, so I have been awake since a little before 4am. Ouch.
That will be me all day….sleeeeeeepyyyyy.
The saying “I woke up on the wrong side of the bed” probably can be used for me today, but I didn’t actually wake up on the wrong side, just at the wrong time and way I guess. I mean, 4am isn’t a time I normally wake up, unless we have to catch an early flight to Disney World 😉
Anyways, after laying in bed frustrated for about an hour, I figured it was time to get up and try to get a workout in to turn this grumpiness around. I ran 3.5 miles and did a mix of planks before and afterwards.
My mood changed right around when I read today’s devotional from Wife After God. Today was about having pure joy; sharing your joy with others by encouraging them, sharing a random act of kindness, serving others (especially my husband). I honestly love this book. It makes me think and reflect on what I read with the journal questions at the end of each day. It is validating my feelings of how I ‘think’ I should be as a wife, transforming my ways to not only become a better wife, but a better person. It is challenging me to really think deeply on times that, maybe, I push aside and not want to reflect on. I know I am only on day 11, but it already is deepening my relationship with God and my husband. I know my hubs might not be reading his everyday, but I do share with him what I read each day and what I get out of it. Are you looking for a good devotional to read each day? I highly recommend getting one of Jennifer’s books!
I hope you all have a fabulous Friday!!! I am going to try to get some studying done in between work, I am getting my nails done later finally, and I think I get to have some hubby time tonight!! Yippeeeee!! Xoxo
