Our first day in Disney World: Arriving in the most magical place on earth!

Good morning friends and Happy Tuesday! I cannot believe it is already the first day of August! How is summer coming to an end so quickly?! 🙁 So far this morning has gone better than yesterday. (I did not even try to do laundry this morning, I need a break from that) However, just like yesterday, my morning started with a run. I ran 3.75 miles and did some core exercises afterwards.

Today I am starting my blog posts about our Disney trip! It was absolutely amazing and every single day was filled with fun, love, laughter, and more fun!

Before I get into it, I want to give a shout out to THIS website where I booked Disney Vacation Club points for our trip. I highly recommend using this website whenever you are planning a Disney trip because you can save so much and get to stay in a DVC room!! The booking process was so smooth and easy, and Scott made it very professional as he is very nice and reliable. I like that you have to sign a contract so it is legit. I am always hesitant to rent any points from other websites, but this is a trusted one through the Disbrides community too! This is the way I will be booking our Disney trips from now on, if possible 🙂

Our vacation began once we landed in Orlando. We rented a car with Alamo, which we always do because it is so much easier than relying on the buses to get around. (Especially since we like to go to different resorts a lot) Once we got our car, we were on the road to Saratoga Springs Resort to check in! I was super excited, and hoping we would get put in a good room. But, unfortunately, since we only booked a “deluxe studio” with Disney Vacation Club, we were given a pretty small room that had a tiny bed (like tiny, Michael and I couldn’t even stretch out our arms, tiny as in smaller than our queen at home) not to mention our bed was as hard as the floor, we had a squishy carpet that felt wet, and a smelly and damp room. Like really, my book looked like it took a dip in the pool because the pages were all crinkly from just being in that room…very damp, very very damp. (Gross!) We really tried to get placed in a better room when checking in, but the cast member acted like he was doing us a favor by putting us in a room that was so far from the main pool, actually so far from everything…all the way in The Grandstand, room 9832 to be exact. If you get placed in this room if you are staying at Saratoga Springs Resort, I hope they revamped it and cleaned it for you, or take my advice and just try to change rooms. 😉 We were greatly disappointed, but it was okay at the time because we wouldn’t be spending that much time in the room. *My review on our room at Saratoga has no reflection on Scott for our points rental, because it was all Saratoga.*

Anyways, the day we arrived was a special day, because we were meeting up with my sister, brother in law, and two nephews inside the Magic Kingdom. My sister didn’t tell my nephews that they would be seeing us that night, so we totally surprised them! It was the sweetest thing ever!! Since they were in Disney for a whole week before us, I really missed them. It felt so good to hug and kiss them in my favorite place in the world!

We took pictures in front of the Castle, watched the Move it! Shake it! parade, saw a rainbow, danced around, and met Mickey Mouse at the Town Square Theater!

After meeting Mickey, Gio wanted to go on Winnie the Pooh with Auntie and Uncle Michael! It was so fun! Gio was so excited! It also felt good to sit in air condition for a couple minutes 😉

We enjoyed our time in the Magic Kingdom on our first day!!!

Having so much fun is tiring..good thing my sister has a double stroller I can shimmy my bum into 😉

*All of my shirts for our vacation are made by Rebeka at Southern Belle Creations. She makes the best shirts and is the sweetest person ever!*

Stay tuned for more!! Have a great day! Xoxo
