Our anniversary celebration in Disney (Our third day in Disney)

Heyyyy! Happy Tuesday to you!

This morning started with of course a workout! I ran 3.5 miles then did an ab circuit with added planks at the end. I’m wishing the weekend stayed around a bit longer than it did, it went by so fast! (Since Monday is technically still my weekend around here) I so enjoyed getting to spend lots of time with my nephews.

Today I am sharing more about our Disney World trip!

This trip was mainly to celebrate our one year anniversary, since we went to the Bahamas on our “real” anniversary, I wanted to make it special and celebrate again in the most magical place where we got married. And if you know anything about me, I absolutely LOVE celebrating any and every little or big thing in life!

We booked a photoshoot with our photographer, Randy Chapman, for the third day of our vacation. I absolutely love having photos taken by Randy, he is so fun and knows all of the best places in and around Disney! Each time we go down I always try to book a shoot with him. (I absolutely love feeling like a model for a day..haha!!) Our day of the shoot started early with hair and makeup…well for me, not Michael. 😉 Cindy Vasquez from Beaute Speciale came to our room early in the morning to get me beautified.. I enjoy getting my hair and makeup done so much, and Cindy is beyond amazing! (I wish I could have it done professionally every single day, haha)

By the time Cindy was finished getting me all beautiful, it was time for Michael and I to get dressed and head on over to the Polynesian Resort where we were meeting Randy to start our photos! He snapped some all around the resort, and then we headed over to the Grand Floridian Wedding Pavilion to get some outside there. It was super hot out, especially in the sun, but never once did my makeup come off or anything. Michael was even surprised at how much I was sweating but you could never tell by my face! Randy made our photo shoot super fun and laid back. Michael and I had fun gazing into each others eyes and saying silly things to each other while Randy was snapping the pictures. My husband is a big jokester, guys!

After photos, we headed over to our favorite restaurant, The Grand Floridian Cafe, requested Robert, of course, and had some brunch! We were so hungry because we didn’t eat breakfast before our shoot, so we were more than ready to devour some delicious food! We even got a special anniversary treat at the end! So sweet!!!

After brunch, we headed to the Magic Kingdom in hopes I would be let into the park even though I had my white dress and heels on. (Sometimes they do not allow guests in wedding attire into the parks, and even though we were not in “wedding attire” the dress I was wearing could have been mistaken for a wedding dress). Well, I was walking onto Main Street U.S.A. a couple minutes after getting off the monorail feeling like a true princess!!! I was so excited, and was just so happy. Although I did get a lot of nasty looks from other women, can you believe that? Man! But, I didn’t let that bother me. We had another mini photo shoot in the middle of Main Street in front of the castle. The PhotoPass photographer was seriously loving us and told us he would take pictures of us all day. He was fantastic!

We met Tink and I got to take pictures with her. Of course I complimented her on her pixie dust and told her how much I love pixie dust! I was totally squeaking with excitement. I absolutely love her!

We went back to our room to relax for a little while before heading to dinner. I was so anxious and so excited to get to dinner at the California Grill because I had a surprise for Michael in honor of our anniversary! And for once, I kept this a secret for over a month!!!

We were treated like royalty once again when arriving. There was Mickey confetti all over our table, which always excites me….I totally put some in my wallet to take with me 🙂 I ordered their caesar salad with a side of steamed veggies, while Michael ordered their filet. I also got a glass of champagne, and Michael got a gin & tonic with a cucumber. Cheers!

The view from the California Grill is absolutely breathtaking. You have a view of the Magic Kingdom…where you can see the castle, space mountain, and thunder mountain, and the view of Bay Lake, as well as the Grand Floridian! It always literally takes my breath away!

Once we were both finished with our dinners, it was time for the surprise!!! Our waiter brought out a mini replica of our wedding cake I had ordered a while ago through the Contemporary Resort Bakery. I actually ordered the cake following THIS blog post! So helpful! Anyways, THE CAKE WAS SO CUTE! And it looked exactly like our wedding cake, only mini!! Ohhh and it was delicious! I chose to get the same flavor and filling as the bottom layer of our wedding cake, white cake with strawberry mousse filling. Mmmm!!!

After dinner, we went back to our room to put that cake we had boxed up in the refrigerator, change into comfy clothes (ohhh yessss!!!!), and headed over to Disney Springs to hangout with my sister, brother in law, and my nephews.

We had so much fun, and ended up getting back to our room around 11:45. My hair and makeup stayed ALL day long and never once needed retouching!! Woohoo!!

It was such a memorable day!

Now you tell me: Do you like to celebrate your anniversary in a big way? Do you like to celebrate any and every little and big thing in life just like I do?

Have a great day, lovelies!! Xoxo
