Happy Monday, friends! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!!
I figured I would pop in today to share more about our Disney trip since I just love reminiscing on these fun times! Not really into all of these Disney posts? That’s okay (I guess), I may be popping in again later with another blog post sharing all about our last full day there, then will go back to just sharing about my
boring old life tomorrow featuring what went down around here this weekend! Because technically, today is still my “weekend”. 😉
I am calling this day six: The best day ever! (Because my shirt said so!)
It started out by us going down to the main building at Saratoga Springs to check out of our room there (YAY) because we were checking into the Animal Kingdom Lodge for the rest of our trip!! After we checked out I did a happy dance…it could only get better from here, right? Bell services took our luggage so we didn’t have to worry about lugging it around and keeping it in our HOT car all morning until we checked into AKL. So, since we did that, they brought over our luggage for us 🙂
Once we were all checked out of there, we headed over to the Grand Floridian to take the boat over to the Magic Kingdom!
What a beautiful sight, indeed!! I think I take a number of pictures of the Grand Floridian and the Wedding Pavilion during each trip like I am going to forget what it looks like or something, lol. Is there any place you always take pictures of every time you see it just in case you forget what it looks like?!
Ohhhh, home! No place I’d rather be!
Our breakfast was at (my favorite) The Crystal Palace! They have the best breakfast buffet around! We got to meet Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore. It’s always a fun time whenever we go there 🙂
Check in time! We headed over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge to check into our new room! (With hopes it would be much better than our room at Saratoga) We stayed in the Kidani Village in a deluxe studio room.
….OMG! Our room was absolutely amazing! Clean, large, smelt nice, bright, WOOHOO! And you know what made it even more awesome? THIS BEAUTIFUL VIEW from our balcony!!! And believe me, we spent a couple hours out there in disbelief this was real life!
Michael and I headed over to the pool to cool down from the heat. After swimming for about an hour, we were hungry. So, after getting back to the room and showering up we headed downstairs to Sanaa for their famous naan bread! (Unfortunately, we aren’t really into African cooking and Indian flavors, so we just ended up getting the bread service) But, let me tell you….that bread was gooooood! It came with 9 dips, and even though I stuck with dipping my bread into the one I recognized (hummus), Michael ate the whole thing and loved every dip!
We headed back to our room and rested for the afternoon (aka: sitting outside on our balcony) before heading back to the Grand Floridian for the Happily Ever After Dinner Buffet at 1900 Park Fare! This is my FAVORITE dinner buffet around because not only is the food good, but the characters are THE BEST! You get to meet Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine and the Evil Stepsisters Drizella and Anastasia! It is always so fun for us (well, me) because Lady Tremaine, Drizella, and Anastasia always put on such a fun show. (They even remembered us!!) Here’s the story about them: The night before Michael proposed to me, we went to dinner here and I explained to them that Michael and I had been together for around 11 years and he STILL hadn’t proposed…they nagged him and told him he better get to it or I will find another prince! Bingo!!!! He did it!!! Drizella and Anastasia think he did it all because of them, so we had so much fun laughing, and I kinda soaked it all up! I was so happy!
Oh, and by the way….me and Cinderella are BEST FRIENDS clearly! Just look at the proof:
Afterwards, we got to take pictures with Cinderella’s Glass Slipper. Yay!
We were then off the Magic Kingdom to meet up with my sister, brother in law, and nephews! I barely took any pictures, because I was just enjoying our night and didn’t want to keep whipping out my phone to take a picture. But, we had so much fun! Can you see it in Enzo’s sweet face?! (The picture of him was taken during a game of “peek a boo” with Uncle Michael. They just love him so much! It is so sweet!)
It was another magical day in Disney!!!
Stay tuned for more! Have a wonderful start to a new week, lovelies!! Xoxo
