Family · Weekend

Life is tough darling, but so are you!

Hi guys! I hope your week started off well.

I am sad my weekend is over, two days is never enough for me. Wouldn’t it be nice if “weekends” could last like 3 or 4 days and “workdays” could be like 2 or 3 days? Hahahaha. In my dreams.

I guess my weekends are pretty predictable, low key, and (in my opinion) pretty boring. I usually spend lots of time with my nephews, squeeze in as much time with Michael as I can if he isn’t working, get a bunch of good (and longer) workouts in, and catch up on my favorite shows.

Friday after work, Michael & I went to a nearby park so he could fish and I could walk around. Well, actually, I just kind of stand there and wait for him to be done fishing until we walk together. I don’t mind, because I would rather be outside in the nice weather than sitting inside.

Speaking of the nice weather, I can’t believe we are already halfway through August. Where has the summer gone?!? I wish it was “summer” weather all year long. 🙁 I’m really serious when I say that I belong down South.

Saturday after work I got some errands done, then went to my sister’s house to play with my nephews for a while. They have this bouncy house that is perfect size for either outside or inside, and they actually put it in their playroom so the boys could bounce on it. They had so much fun in there! (If only I was a child again and could climb in that thing and jump for hours…wouldn’t that be the life?!?)

Sunday morning started in the best way I could think of: my DD Coffee and Joel Osteen!img_1350-1

I went to the grocery store with my Dad, per our usual Sunday morning outings. 🙂 After, I went to my sister’s house for more play time with my nephews! Enzo now says “Dautie” or “Dauntie” for Auntie. It is the cutest thing and I was so excited he was saying Auntie! img_1353

We didn’t think Michael was working on Sunday, so we went to fish and walk around the park again to enjoy the beautiful weather. But, that didn’t last long at all. He was supposed to be working, so we rushed home as he got ready to leave and I went back to my sister’s house so I wasn’t alone again for another long day. Whomp whomp. (Really, I don’t mind being alone, but I just don’t like it ALL the time. It gets a little lonely)

So, I took Gio for some ICE CREAM! I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!! He tried a new flavor: Tollhouse Cookie, and he loved it! Hopefully Uncle Michael can come with us soon, Gio so misses him!

Yesterday since it was another beautiful day out, I took Gio to the park to play in the morning, we had lots of fun. He loved the swings, and the slides!

Michael was sure he didn’t have to work yesterday, so we went to a lake nearby for him to fish. But the BUGS were crazy. They were attacking us so I ran to the car and happily sat in there (bug free) as he fished for like 30 minutes. Yuck. Me and bugs do not go well together. Especially since I was attacked by something in Disney and had some type of allergic reaction to it.

I had a headache later in the afternoon and laid on the couch for the rest of the night. We caught up on the latest episode of Power, and Ballers. Those are our two favorites right now! What are you watching? Later in the evening once Michael left for jujitsu, I tuned into Bachelor In Paradise, which started again last night and I was ALL about the drama! It’s on again tonight and I am curious to see how the whole Corrine and DeMario situation plays out and the production shutdown (if they show it), but I don’t really understand it at all. Even after Chris Harrison talked about it, I am still confused.

I woke up this morning feeling even more tired than last night. It’s been happening all week, as I haven’t really been sleeping well. I hope this ends soon whatever is going on with my (non) sleeping habits. My headache is somewhat gone, it’s just like a dull ache now. But, I got my butt out of bed and ran 2 miles after completing a 20 minute ab workout. Yipppeeeeee!

This morning was eventful. Everyday, after I get my coffee, I make breakfast. I usually have a bowl of fruit and a toasted english muffin. As I went in the fridge to grab the already cut up fruit salad we just bought at the grocery store, the whole entire thing fell on the floor. I don’t know if the cover wasn’t on tight enough or something, but the fruit fell out and went everywhere. So, no fruit for me. (Besides the watermelon I had already freshly cut up, thankfully!) Booo 🙁

Anyways, that isn’t going to ruin my day! Here is an inspirational quote to get you through your Tuesday:

Make it a great day, loves! Xoxo
