Not too much going on around here! (Weekend recap)

Good morning! Happy Monday to you!!

You may have noticed a new look on the blog this morning?! I had fun switching the themes around this past weekend and finally came to the decision to just pick this one, where I can add some PINK into the theme! I am super indecisive, so you can only imagine how many times I went back and forth between like 10 layouts, haha.

How was your weekend? I just cannot believe it was the last weekend of October, and soon it will be November. Before we know it, it will be 2018! It is so crazy how fast time is flying by.

Not lots to share from the weekend today, as I didn’t really do anything too exciting besides rest, relax, and recharge. I would say it was a very low key weekend.

Saturday morning was the first morning I could actually get a run in since falling down the stairs and hurting my foot! I was pretty excited I was able to get my sneakers on without being in pain! My workout looked like this: 4 mile run, 3 minutes of planks, and 15 minutes of stretching. It was a great workout after taking it easy for a couple days! The rest of the day was filled with work, work, work, and then went over to my parent’s house where my sister and my nephews were! We had lots of fun just hanging around and laughing at how cute Enzo was being with the “punkin”.

Kisses for the punkin!

I headed to Target a little while later, and tried on a bunch of tops. I find that it’s always a hit or miss with their clothes, either it’s a day where I love everything or hate everything I try on. The only thing worth thinking of getting was this super soft black top. I kept it in my carriage until I was ready to check out, and realized I didn’t need this shirt after all. Do you do that or is it just me?! Do you keep stuff in your cart (or better yet in your shopping cart online) and wait until you are almost finished shopping to put things away because you came to the realization that you just don’t need that?! Maybe it’s just me, because I always think I NEED ALL THE THINGS, but then come to my senses and tell myself I do NOT need all the things. 😉

I ended up not buying the whole store, and walking out of there with only 5 bags filled with stuff. I would say that is a WIN in my book! Actually, I consider it a win if I walk out of there spending less than $100! Now seriously, spending over $100 in Target is WAY TOO EASY if you ask me.

After my little shopping outing, I went back to my parent’s to hop in the car with my Dad to tag along for a ride to pick up food for them. I had a very important date afterwards with my couch, blanket, and the Hallmark Channel. People!!! Christmas movies are on and I am ALL ABOUT THEM!!!! It makes me all giddy inside and super excited that I can totally skip right over Halloween and jump right into Christmas….so does that mean it is acceptable to put up ALL our decorations and Christmas tree now?! Ok, I am not really that crazy. I will wait until we are a little further into November, until I can’t help myself anymore and make our place Christmas! Actually, I think it is finally time to invest in a new Christmas tree. Since we have a fake tree, whomp whomp. The one we have is about like 5 (maybe 6?) years old, so if you ask me, we definitely need a new one! You got that, Michael?! We NEED one!

Sunday was a gloomy, rainy day around here. I started the day with a 3.5 mile run, followed by 20 minutes of workin’ my core. I went to the grocery store with my Dad, of course. And to be very honest, the rest of the day was spent lazying around watching Hallmark movies, and football. The Patriots won! Woo!

We also watched Transformers: The Last Knight before bed. It was pretty good, but I found myself losing interest at some points, and I fell asleep before it was over. I think that tells you something? But who am I kidding, I am a Grandma and usually fall asleep super early anyways. MV5BMTk3OTI3MDk4N15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwNDg2ODIyMjI@._V1_UY268_CR0,0,182,268_AL_.jpg

The wind and rain were crazy last night and I got an alert on my phone at 2:30 am which scared me awake. You know those weather alerts on your phone that are SUPER LOUD?! Well yeah, think of that happening at 2:30 in the morning when you are sleeping so good and then BAM….WAKE UP WAKE UP! FLOOD WATCH!! Luckily I fell back asleep or I would be one grumpy girl today.

This morning started with an easy 2 mile run, a 10 minute circuit workout, and finished it off with 10 minutes of yoga. I have a fun post I’m writing for tomorrow, as of right now, but I make no pinky promises. And I’m sure today will be filled with the same old stuff 😉 Be back tomorrow!!

Have a fabulous day, loves!! Xoxo ♥♥

  1. I love the new look! So clean and crisp and I love the pink. It took me forever to pick my theme, too. All the back and forth and second-guessing. Tough decisions.
Your weekend sounds lovely. It’s so hard not to buy all the things in Target. And Christmas movies! I am so ready for Christmas.
Also, yay that you’re able to run again!

    1. Thanks so much!! It was so very hard to finally pick a new theme, haha! I am totally ready for Christmas too! I am thrilled to be running again 😉 xoxo
