Hey heyyyy!! Happy FRIDAY!!! Finally. Now only if we can fast forward a little bit to tomorrow seeing as though my weekend doesn’t start until tomorrow afternoon, that would be great. Okay but no seriously, we have an extended weekend because of the Fourth of July and I am pumped!! So I really can’t wait for tomorrow afternoon, specifically tomorrow at 3pm to be exact. Do you have any fun plans for the weekend and/or the Fourth of July holiday? I can’t believe tomorrow is the last day of June and July first is on Sunday!! Man, time flies by, especially in the summertime.
This also means that our Disney vacation is coming SO SOON! 9 days to be exact, are you sick of the countdown yet? If that is the case please return back to my blog when I come home from Disney (middle of July) to avoid the daily countdown (hey, but also be happy that you aren’t in our home then, I have a countdown for our next vacation the second we come home from one) and for some fun blog posts on our time in Disney. Or if you are a grouch and hate Disney (which you must also hate dogs, and sparkles, and all things fun and nice), then I don’t really think this is the blog for you to be reading?
Anyways, thank YOU for stopping by my blog today, I appreciate you and I hope you will stick around! 🙂 Yesterday, as mentioned many times, was a very rainy and gloomy day around here. The downpour of rain stopped at times, but seemed to pick up and get really bad at other times. Like when I was driving on the highway to church for counseling. Did you read that? It was pouring BUCKETS, and I mean buckets, like I couldn’t even hear my music the rain was coming down so hard and was SO LOUD, when I was driving on the highway!! I don’t really like the highway to begin with, but take it when I have to or if I am in a rush…but the only way to get to church is to take the highway and it was NO FUN in the pouring rain. But I survived, of course. The rain stopped once I was finished my session and it was clear skies for the rest of the night, actually BEAUTIFUL cotton candy like skies for the rest of the night. I stole these pictures from my Mama, because she had a better view at her house of God’s masterpiece!!
I woke up at 5am this morning ready to go, but stayed in bed until around 6, then got my butt moving! A 45 minute run turned into a HIIT workout was on the agenda this morning (who am I kidding? I don’t have an agenda for my workouts, only for everything else in my life, but I kind of just go with whatever I’m feeling in the morning) followed by a 15 minute abs and arm circuit. Woo!
If you couldn’t tell, I am exceptionally happy this morning because Michael took me out on a breakfast date! Surprise!!! We went to our favorite little diner around here, Lou Roc’s. I was one happy girl!
I was really hoping they would have fresh fruit since it is summer (well besides the strawberries and bananas I usually get there)…the verdict? They did!! I ordered a fresh FRUIT BOWL!!! Look at it! Yummy!! I also had a toasted english muffin on the side.
Well actually to tell you the truth, this bowl of fruit tasted like spices…yes I sound crazy but I made Michael taste a piece too to see if I was actually crazy and he said the same thing as me. Our nice waitress got me another bowl and said it tasted like that probably because the chef cooking the hash browns must have used the same knife when cutting both of those, or didn’t change gloves. Oh well, at least I am not indeed crazy and got a new (fresh) fruit bowl minus the spices! 😉 Michael was a hungry man and ordered eggs, hash browns, bacon, wheat toast, and one gigantic apple cinnamon pancake (omg, so good).
We left the diner happy both with full bellies. 🙂 It was such a good morning, and I am so glad I got to spend some time with my hubby, since I won’t be able to again until next week.
Have a FABULOUS weekend!!! Xoxo
