Weekend Recap: I’ll be watching Christmas movies for the rest of July

Hellloooo!! Happy Monday!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I hope you are still weekend-ing over there like I am. I get this super long weekend with the Fourth being on Wednesday, do you?! I don’t have to go to work until Thursday! Yay!

I don’t know about you, but here in Massachusetts it is super hot and humid (my favorite!!) and totally feels like summer time. I cannot believe it is already July, which means summer is going to go by way too fast, which then means it is basically almost fall, which means it is almost Christmas! Ummm wait a minute, I don’t want to speed up summer because it is my favorite time of year..well, I guess Christmas is, but if only Christmas could be in the summer time then I would be a very very happy girl.

Speaking of Christmas, did you know Hallmark Movie & Mysterys is playing Christmas movies until the 15th, and then the regular Hallmark Channel does their Christmas in July starting July 13th!!??! You bet I was watching that all weekend and will be watching it until we leave for Disney (in SIX DAYS! AH!!), and when we come back too.\ We are SIX days away from our vacation!!!!! I am adamant to get packing, like way before Saturday, so I am not scrambling around like a crazy lady as usual the day before we leave. So I should probably start packing now…right?! Either way, I’m so excited!!!!!

I’m popping in today with a little recap of what my weekend looked like. I mean, kicking it off with my little breakfast date with Michael on Friday morning gave me high hopes that this weekend was going to be just as great!

Friday: I had an on and off headache (guys, I am so sick of saying I have a headache and having a headache. I AM DONE!). I don’t think I drank enough water, especially since it is so humid outside. I have to up my water intake now especially since we will be in Florida heat and humidity (even though I love it) soon. I usually drink a lot of water, since that is basically all I drink besides coffee and tea, but I reeeeallly have to step it up now. CHUG CHUG CHUG all the water!! After work, I got Starbucks, and spent the night watching Christmas movies, obviously. merry-christmas-minions-greeting-gif-4.gif

Saturday: started with a 30 minute run, and a 15 minute incline walk. I really wasnt feeling the motivation and really just wanted to go back in bed, but once Michael got home from work (you see, he literally works all hours of the day and night) he reminded me “you are a beast, beast mode on”, and I finished strong. Thanks boo! I had to work until mid afternoon, but went to Starbucks a little after. I brought my sister a tea also and got some play time with my babes! They are just so cute and I totally had blue ring pop stains all over my white shirt by the time I left there, Auntie playtime success! I stayed there for a while then came home around 6 where I totally watched Christmas movies for the rest of the night, I mean, I bet you couldn’t have guessed that?!?

Sunday: I started my Sunday morning with a quick 20 minute circuit workout before Michael and I went to church! Guys, this is great news!! So you probably don’t know this, but (sadly) I haven’t been to church in a long long time and have just pretty much “making my own church” at home with worship music and Joel Osteen, but that hasn’t been doing it for me lately. I have no one else to blame this on except for myself, but the thought of going to church alone was making me super anxious and nervous, so I just avoided it altogether, and had asked Michael if he was open to going with me and to my surprise he said yes! So, since he didn’t work until the afternoon, we were off to church in the morning and I was so happy! After a wonderful service, we went to Dunkin’ because this girl needed COFFEE! (And breakfast, because I didn’t eat before church, boo). We got home around 11 where I stuffed my face with fruit and an english muffin and then went to the grocery store to stock up on some of the fruits and veggies we were lacking in our fridge. But sadly some of the fruit I bought had to be THROWN OUT because we have the worst fruit….either too ripe or not ripe at all. And I mean too ripe, like it is way too old to even be sold, or not ripe at all where pineapple isn’t even a tint of yellow it is just white all around. Gross. Okay, my little fruit rant is over. And anyways, we will be in Florida soon so I am hoping that I get my fix of amazing fresh fruit down there! (Please Lord). I came home after doing the groceries to paint my toes since they haven’t been touched since my pedicure at the spa in Delray Beach and desperately need another pedicure. Hmmm, maybe I will get one in Disney at the Grand Floridian spa?! Yes please. That sounds like a plan. Oh and don’t worry, Michael doesn’t read this, so he will be sorry once I go to the spa without so much of an announcement…oops.giphy

Anyways, once Michael left for work I hopped on my treadmill for a 30 minute incline walk since I hadn’t done it in the morning and I was itching to get moving. I headed over to my sister’s house later in the day where I played with my nephews and brought them over some yummy looking donuts that I had got them from the grocery store. Oh, and surprise, the rest of the night was spent watching nothing other than Christmas movies!! Woo!

This morning started with a 15 minute ab circuit, and a 45 minute HIIT run. I really wanted a goooood workout, and that’s exactly what I got! I had a hair appointment for a blow out this morning, despite having no plans or anything…I just love the feeling after a fresh blow out, don’t you? I wish I could get them every other day and feel like I have pretty hair. 😉giphy

Michael does not work today, I repeat Michael does not work today!! We don’t really have any plans, but I will be sure to soak in every second of the time I get to spend with him later on. What are your plans for today?

I hope you have a fabulous day! Xoxo ♥♥

  1. The title of your post made me laugh! I hadn’t even started to think about Christmas (I’m obviously not a shop-in-advance type of person), but now I actually feel a little excited for it.

So glad you were able to go to church this Sunday! While at school, I go to a different church than the one at home of course, and I was getting really anxious beforehand. I’m not sure why, but it probably had to do with the fact that none of my friends go to that church and I was still just starting getting to know people there. I was always glad I went afterwards, but the before struggle was real. Praying that the two of you will be able to go more often!

    Have a lovely day!

    1. I’m so glad I’m not alone in feeling anxious and nervous before going to church alone! It sounds silly when I say it because obviously church is not a judgmental place and no one will care if I am alone, it’s just my own fear! Thank you so much for your prayers! Michael told me that “it wasn’t so bad” and he will go again! I’ll be back there when we get home from Disney, and I really hope he comes with me too!

Hope you are having a beautiful day! Xoxo
