Hey hey! Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a great start to the new week!
Let me tell you something, I was totally on the struggle bus this morning and did notttt want to work out, but I did and I was a hot, sweaty mess afterwards. For the workout, I did a 30 minute full body/cardio workout followed by a 30 minute HIIT run on the treadmill. Blah. It was rough and not pretty. But of course I felt much better once it was done and didn’t regret it one bit!
Before I jump into today’s post, I totally need to share my excitement with you all. Yesterday was THE BEST mail day ever. I had THREE packages that were being delivered yesterday and I was obsessively stalking the tracking…do you do that too? I feel like I obsessively refresh the tracking information the second it is shipped. Haha. I had ordered some bralettes from the Nordstrom Sale, so those came in. They are super comfy and I am ALL ABOUT the bralettes right now. Like I don’t think I will ever go back to regular bras. What was I thinking my whole life? Let’s be honest ladies, bras are the most uncomfortable thing in the whole world and the second I get home I take it OFF! Along with that, I found a personal shopper from Hong Kong on Instagram for COOKIE!!! Oh my gosh. She is SO cute and SO soft and snuggly. I was screaming and jumping up and down when I was opening her. My my last package was POOH BEAR!!!! They came out with a new line of stuffed animals for the Christopher Robin movie and I am sooooo in love! Michael thought I was a crazy lady because I had a snuggle fest all day and night long! Haha!! Before he got home I texted him “the gang’s all here” and he pretty much died.
It’s very fitting that I got Pooh Bear yesterday, because today’s Disney post features the willy nilly silly old bear himself! 😉 Missed any of the other Disney posts? Have no fear! Dinner at The Crystal Palace
The Crystal Palace is located inside Disney’s Magic Kingdom, and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We have actually dined here in the past for all three meals (well, not all in the same day or the same trip, silly! Haha!) and have never had a bad time. Well, I can only speak for myself, you will have to ask Michael directly if he had a good time and he probably wouldn’t have the same response as me…men…and Disney…don’t really mix? The Crystal Palace is an all you care to eat buffet, and while you feast on the scrumptious fare, you get to meet some friends from the Hundred Acre Woods!! Winne The Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore stop by your table. So fun!!
Similar to every other Disney restaurant, I informed the hostess at check-in that I had an “allergy” and was vegan and gluten free. She handed me the allergy friendly menu which had every single dish at the buffet, along with the 8 popular allergies (wheat/gluten, milk/dairy, eggs, soy, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, and shellfish), and which dish is friendly to your allergy. Also, please be advised that even after you check in at The Crystal Palace, no matter what time your reservation time is for, you will most likely have to wait, and it will probably be chaotic. No matter what day or time we dine here, we always look at each other with crazy eyes and end up witnessing chaos by others around us. It had us being silly and feeling like lunatics ourselves. Haha. Unfortunately our reservation was for like 7:45pm, and I was verrryyyyy hungryyyy. But, a little while later, I finally got a text message that we were being called soon (I hate how they do that, you get a text message when your name will be called within the next like 10 minutes). Anyways, I knew where we were in line because I peeked inside the hostess’ hand and saw my red allergy label on our slip. Haha. That is totally a plus when dining with an “allergy” I guess.
Once we were seated our waitress asked if I would like to speak to the chef for anything special, but the Crystal Palace has a lot of options for vegan/gluten free (some buffets don’t, and that is why I would speak to the chef), so I felt confident that I was going to be stuffed with options from the buffet. I just asked for some allergy friendly rolls and that is all! The chef brought out the rolls for me and still asked if I would like anything special that he could make me, which was so nice and I so greatly appreciated!! From the buffet, I filled a plate with salad and fruit, and then another plate with all the vegetables and some rice. (I did not like the rice, but the veggies were very good!)
The characters came around and had us laughing our butts off.
Tigger was hopping around and making kissing noises at my face like no tomorrow. It was sweet, and so funny. I always think Tigger is so full of life and so fun whenever we dine here. He usually has me twirling and dancing around.
Eyeore was HILARIOUS. He covered my face when I took pictures with him and I was dying with laughter.
Piglet was the sweetest and gave me a great big Piglet hug! I just love Piglet!
And the star of the night, Pooh Bear!! What a cutie!
We had fun at The Crystal Palace, but we both agreed that we would probably wouldn’t make it a “must eat” place during every trip like I have been doing forever. Even though we had a good time, we felt like we were kind of rushed and our waitress wasn’t really that attentive. There was no one around to take our pictures (there usually is a photo pass person, but she never asked to take our picture), but a gentleman at a nearby table was kind enough to take some pictures of the both of us with the characters. Sometimes that happens, no big deal! Michael also said that the buffet options weren’t that great compared to others (like Chef Mickey’s or 1900 Park Fare…stay tuned for that new review! It’s my favorite!!) We actually finished our dinner just in time to watch the Happily Ever After fireworks show right when we were leaving the restaurant! Perfect timing!
Have a Tigger-ific Tuesday!! 😉 😉 xoxo
