Sweets from Erin McKenna’s Bakery & Dinner at Terralina Crafted Italian

Hey hey! Happy Tuesday!!

I hope you had a fabulous start to the new week! My Monday was so great. I got to spend time with my nephews and sister, and even got to spend time with Michael again! I just love that he normally has the same days off as I do, well when he doesn’t take extra shifts, I am so grateful!! Today is my Monday as you probably know, and I always wake up feeling a bit more “blah” on Tuesday’s, but I am kicking that feeling right out the window because no one has time for negativity around here. Actually, during my work out this morning I was listening to the “Christian Workout” Pandora station and was smacked in the face with all the motivation I needed to shake that negativity off of me! (Like THIS from Steven Furtick, yes please)!!! For my workout this morning I started with a 20 minute HIIT circuit (omg, I am sooo sore, I was sore to begin with and now I am extra sore..haha), and then I completed the August runDisney 5k for the Virtual Running Shorts! When I was done the 5k I stayed on the treadmill for an incline walk until I hit the 45 minute mark, since I was totally into it. I had mentioned it before (like in this post for June, and in this post for July) how I had signed up for the whole Virtual Running Shorts Series this summer to keep up my running (as if I wouldn’t?). When signing up for the whole series, you receive not only 3 medals, but 4 medals for completing the series! Yay, give me all the bling! The package also came with a magnet, a resistance band, and a hot/cold gel pack. This year’s theme was the Incredibles for Disney’s Incredible Summer, and I just love the medals! So fun!

I’m back today with another Disney post! Missed any of the other ones I published? Find our room at Saratoga Springs HERE, dining at the Grand Floridian Cafe HERE, dinner at Chef Mickey’s HERE, breakfast at Cape May Cafe HERE, dinner at ‘Ohana HERE, dinner at California Grill HERE, dinner at Garden Grill HERE, dinner at The Crystal Palace HERE, lunch at Kona Cafe HERE, lunch at 50’s Prime Time Cafe HERE, and lunch at Nine Dragons Restaurant HERE. Wooohoooo! I love the Disney posts!

Sweets from Erin McKenna’s Bakery

Erin McKenna’s Bakery is located inside Disney Springs, and is (are you ready?) a VEGAN, GLUTEN FREE, and kosher bakery that offers all of the magical allergy friendly sweets you can imagine! From cupcakes, cakes, breads, donuts, cookies, muffins, brownies, to soft serve…when you walk into Erin McKenna’s Bakery you are in for a real treat!!

The Bakery itself is SO cute, I wish there was no one in there when we went in so I could snap better pictures, but I took what I could without getting the other customers in the photos. I didn’t get a chance to get pictures of what was in the case either because people were all over it probably dreaming about what goodies they were going to get.

Michael joked that he wanted “one of everything please” when it was our turn to order, HAHA. I love that man! I went in thinking that I wanted to get some chocolate soft serve, but there was a sign that said soft serve was only available on the weekends, so I was a little bit disappointed, But then, as I kept looking around at everything there was another sign saying that there was vanilla soft serve available. So, even though I really wanted the chocolate soft serve, I chose to get the vanilla soft serve. Bad news was that I ordered it with sprinkles, and those sprinkles was pure sugar I tell you…and I wasn’t feeling it, so I ended up scraping off the whole entire top of the ice cream to get to just the ice cream itself. All in all, I would have preferred chocolate soft serve, but the vanilla was very good! (If you like vanilla). Michael ordered the crumb cake, and the lemon pound cake. He couldn’t contain his excitement and took a bite of the lemon cake before I could snap a picture, so that is why you get this lovely picture of a huge bite missing from said lemon pound cake. 😉

I was so excited to go to Erin McKenna’s Bakery and try out the vegan and gluten free things! We are definitely going to make it a ‘must go to’ place on every Disney vacation.

Dinner at Terralina Crafted Italian

Shocker…we actually had dessert before dinner. Ha! Who are we?!

Terralina Crafted Italian is located inside Disney Springs, not far from Erin McKenna’s Bakery. The location of the restaurant is actually the former Portobello Country Italian Trattoria, which closed last year. It still kind of has the same vibe and I think some of the same menu choices as Portobello.

Anyways, we decided to dine here on a whim, without a reservation, but were quickly seated after arriving at the hostess check-in stand. Our waitress arrived with some ciabatta bread with some pickled veggies. The picked veggies were actually really good, but after a couple bites I got sick of it fast. So, it’s good for a bite! Haha. Anyways, I didn’t tell the hostess about being vegan and gluten free, but I told our waitress when we sat down. She told me that she would speak to the chef and see what my options were.

Our waitress returned telling me that the chef could prepare me a vegan/gluten free pasta dish, or a salad. I chose a salad (I was going to get that anyways, I was just curious if they had anything else for us plant eaters). Along with the salad I asked if I could have some type of grilled veggies, and mannnnn was that goooood! Mmmmm! Michael ordered the chicken parmigiana…which was absolutely gigantic. He didn’t finish it and luckily since we had a kitchen in our room we were able to box it up and take it back to the room for him to eat at a later time.

We were both surprised at how good the restaurant and the food was, and we are definitely going to return during our upcoming vacations! 🙂

Stay tuned for more Disney fun!!

Have a beautiful day! Xoxo ♥♥
