Stop waiting for Friday

Hey hey! Happy FRIDAY! We made it to the end of the week!! I don’t know about you, but since Wednesday was my Monday, I kinda feel like this week went by fast. Now I just need to make it to tomorrow afternoon for the weekend to officially start for me.

It is definitely feeling like fall out this morning after having some super hot and humid summer like days. I am in one of my Walt Disney World spirit jerseys and cropped leggings. BRRRR. Summer, I will miss your hotness, and I hope we get a couple more summer like days here. Please please please!

Okay, so I am so sore, like totally sore my legs were pretty much jello all day yesterday and then my back and arms were so very sore all night, like I couldn’t sleep. Besides my workout in the morning yesterday, I worked out on my lunch break too…and I think that did it. Haha. Despite being super sore, I hate just sitting while I’m at work, so I normally walk around in circles and read a book. (I finally started reading Crazy Rich Asians on Wednesday, I will probably be finished with it tomorrow.) To keep this body feeling the burn, I started this morning with a 20 minute cardio circuit, then jumped on the treadmill for 15 minutes of sprints (30 seconds sprint, 30 seconds off), and 20 more minutes of running. It felt so good! I love doing interval sprints! To finish off my workout, I did about 5 rounds of 1 minute planks and called it a day! I don’t think I will work out on my lunch today, I am sore! tenor.gif

Here’s an update on my dress dilemma: It is STILL a dilemma, guys. As of right now I have nothing to wear to the wedding that is tomorrow. But, I am still keeping my hopes up that I will have a dress all figured out by later on today. I told you yesterday that my order of two more dresses (that I ordered on Wednesday) was supposed to be delivered yesterday but when tracking the package it said “exception” and “the package was not properly sorted” so there was no updated shipping date or anything. I ordered these dresses from Rent The Runway, since I wanted to give them another try (about 2 years ago I purchased two dresses from them for a photoshoot and the dresses ended up coming to me completely ruined and just not right, so I was totally upset, but they refunded all my money and offered to overnight me more dresses). Soon after I saw that tracking information and the “delay” I called them to explain my concerns about not having this package by today for the event which is TOMORROW. The employee on the phone was very kind, she called UPS to see where my package is, and reported back to me that they don’t know where the package is, have no delivery date or anything, and they would send me replacement dresses in the mean time overnight. The only problem was my first pick dress was not available in the size I needed because it was in MY package, so she is sending me my second choice (which I don’t really like that much) and another dress. My dilemma now is that I read the reviews for this gorgeous dress from other buyer’s and they ALL said the dress runs very small, and to size up not just one size but TWO. OH MY GOSH. So now I am going to have another meltdown when I try this dress on whenever it shows up at my door. Please Jesus, keep me sane.

Lauren Daigle’s new album Look Up Child came out TODAY!! Go go go! Get it! I’ve had it on repeat all morning while getting ready for the day, and I just love it. Her voice is so peaceful and calming.51TS0Qsf+vL._SS500.jpg

We are 52 days away from our next Disney trip, and I am so excited! However, I am still trying to convince Michael to take a short weekend getaway trip with me in two weeks. Yup. Still working on that guys. If you have any tips on how to get your husband to whisk you away on a romantic weekend getaway, please send those tips my way! Haha!! 😉

I’m leaving you today with a quote that resonated so much with me, because it is so true…live in the NOW! Make your life exactly what you want it to be right now. Stop waiting for Friday, for summer, for the perfect time, etc. Can I get an AMEN?! 🙂 I seem to find myself saying “I can’t wait for Saturday” (because technically Saturday is my Friday),  or just “I can’t wait for….(anything and everything)” a lot more lately, and I actually have been saying recently “I have no life” and “I really need to get a life”, which is crazy! I have a beautiful life! I must stop this! And I must go LIVE my life NOW!

Have a wonderful weekend, loves!! Xoxo ♥♥

  1. Ugh, I’m so sorry about the dress dilemma! 🙁
YES. I have that album playing RIGHT NOW and I absolutely adore it.
And I love the idea of not waiting for Friday (or whatever day). It really resonated with me because I spent most of the last school year just looking forward to summer/grad school/the next year, and this year I’ve been trying to enjoy the time I’m in and I feel so much better. Have a fab weekend! <3

    1. I am never going to let a dress dilemma like that happen…ever again!! That’s for sure. Haha. I’m so glad you are enjoying the time you are in and feeling so much better! It is much less pressure to live in a moment where you are always waiting for something/someday, because then it’s like you aren’t really in the present. Happy weekend, girl!! I hope you are having a good one! Xoxo
