Our fourth day in the Bahamas: Our Last Day in Paradise

Hello! Happy Saturday! I know I normally don’t blog on the weekends, but this post was totally supposed to be published yesterday, but since I had a very terrible, unexpected headache all day yesterday, I didn’t get around to it, but here I am today! I hope you are having such a great weekend!

I’m bringing you another recap from our Bahamas trip! This is sadly the last one, but don’t you worry…I will have Disney posts soon since we are going at the end of this month! Yay! Missed any of the other Bahamas posts? Find our arrival HERE, our first night HERE, our second day HERE, and our third day HERE.

I’m calling this one: Our Last Day in Paradise.

Ahhhh, another day of waking up to pure bliss of sunshine, crystal blue water, and the hot Bahamian weather. We had stayed out much much later than this Grandma is used to  the night before (I didn’t go to bed until 3am, oh my goodness, but it was SO fun), I somehow woke right up in the morning and waited until Michael was up too. I was surprisingly full of energy and didn’t feel at all like I hadn’t slept much. Michael claimed he was still drunk, HAHA. But we walked our way over to Spices for breakfast before getting our day started. My plate looked a lot like every other day; FRUIT filled! Michael’s plate went unpictured, but it looked like the other days also.

Once we were finished breakfast, we headed to the pool and beach where we were all day long.

And of course, at the strike of noon, our butler arrived with a tray of food. Fruit plate for me, and a pizza for Michael. (Apparently I didn’t take a lot of pictures on our last day, so I am reusing these from another day, but it obviously looked the same.)

And like always, by the time 2 pm came, I was hungry since I didn’t eat much of that amazing fruit plate and ready for lunch at Spices. But of course, not before stopping to take a picture of the GORGEOUS view of the ocean and palm trees. For lunch, I filled my plate with salad, veggies, and fruit again. I am totally a creature of habit, and I have no shame.

After lunch, it was back to the pool and beach until later on.

We went back to our room to get ready for our last night (sad). My outfit for the night was THIS jumpsuit from Express (it’s on sale this weekend!), and I am highly obsessed with it. I normally don’t wear green, but the super helpful employee at Express helped me pick this one out and I loved it!

Our butler escorted us to our dinner reservation, which was at Baccarat. Once again, we were greeted with a gorgeous, rose petaled table and felt like royalty. Out butler took our drink order, where I got a glass of champagne and Michael got the signature drink (which was some sort of chocolate martini amazingness).

Our butler got the chef to come out and speak to me (amazing, simply amazing guys) about my dietary requests and told me I was in great hands. After our butler and chef left, our waiter came by with a warm bread basket for Michael, and some warm gluten free bread for me.

For my appetizer, I got their salad with the dressing on the side. The chef created a dish of steamed rice, and vegetables for me…which was phenomenal! For dessert, I got a cup of chocolate (the waiter told me the chef created this “just for me” and it was just pure chocolate, nothing else, no dairy or anything, with strawberries and raspberries on top…but now that I think about it, I think it was just the chocolate mousse that was on the menu. Ha! I was too full to eat it anyways, but it was cute!).

Michael ordered the salad as an appetizer (unpictured; it looked like mine, but with the dressing on it), the filet for his meal which came with vegetables and potatoes, and creme brûlée for dessert.

With full bellies, we spent the rest of the night enjoying each other, and soaking up our last night in paradise. We went back to our room by midnight, because luckily I packed up all our luggage that morning while Michael was still sleeping.

The next morning was a very sad one…the day we had to leave. 🙁 It was obviously another gorgeous day, and we didn’t leave without taking pictures with that breathtaking view.

All too soon, it was time to leave in our private Rolls Royce transfer to the airport. *If you get the butler service at Sandals, they have a private car service for you! This is another reason why I LOVE the butler service!

We had a rocky day of traveling, (see my first Bahamas post, I explain all about it) and I was totally wiped out.

Our Bahamas getaway was absolutely amazing, but it all seems like a blur now. Did that really happen? Lol. Joking. I am so grateful we were able to go on this spur of the moment vacation, because it was so needed. We soaked in every single second and I don’t think a smile ever came off my face.

Have a beautiful weekend, loves! Xoxo ♥♥
