Good morning! Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was amazing, just like you!
Can you believe it was the last weekend of January? February 1 is on Friday! I can’t believe it. Usually January is the longest month ever and drags and drags, but for me it didn’t seem like it was too long to tell you the truth. I bet if we still had the store and was still waiting on that February 1 closing date I would be saying that it was the longest month ever, but who knows! Do you feel like January dragged for you?
I’m backing it up for you to give you a little recap of my weekend. Spoiler alert: Nothing too exciting happened, and if you would rather have some cheat notes on it, there was lots of workouts, time spent with Michael, my family, and that’s about it! Ha!
Friday: After typing up that blog post, I went over to my sister’s house. I got lots of snuggles and laughs from my nephew Enzo. It’s so different spending time with one of them alone at a time, since Gio was in school I think Enzo really enjoyed having me all to himself. He is just so adorable and I love his cute little personality…he is so happy and gets so excited at everything. I love it!
I went to the grocery store after leaving my sister’s house and I was totally weirded out by some man making a comment to me in the bread aisle that totally rubbed me the wrong way. In the moment I laughed about it because it was my initial reaction, but then I kind of ran away and ran out of there as I was looking over my shoulder… haha, joking. The rest of my afternoon from 1 to 3 was spent on the couch to be honest. I actually took a 20 minute nap too, one that totally wasn’t planned at all, and when I woke up I realized I needed to get up and move. I usually feel lethargic if I am on the couch for more than an hour, so then that’s when I decide to get my booty up, turn on some music and move my body! Michael worked a double shift so around 4ish I went over to my parent’s house for a change of scenery and just to get out of the house. After hanging out with my mom for a little I picked up a salad and came back home. I watched the latest episode of Million Dollar Listing (not an old school one, like last week, haha that was weird) while eating dinner and then snuggled on the couch and watched the Hallmark Channel until I went to bed.
Saturday: I started the morning with the 45 minute New Year Best You obé challenge dance and strength mash up workout (my 2nd time doing it this week) and then tuned in for the live power class because it was FROZEN themed!! Eeeeeek! I showered, drank my coffee, and then tuned in live again for a 10:30am dance class on obé with one of my favorite trainers because it was her birthday! After that, I was definitely done with the workouts for the day. I went to the tanning salon because they had their blow out weekend meaning SALES! After that, I came back home to shower again, and put a load of laundry in and eventually went over to my parent’s house for a little since my sister and nephews were over there. The rest of my afternoon was spent listening to music, and relaxing on the couch. Eventually Michael got home a little later than usual and once he did we tuned into some of our trashy reality tv shows that we had on DVR.
Sunday: I started the morning with an obé sculpt class on replay before getting ready for church. Once we got home from service Michael went to jujitsu and I tuned into two more workout classes on obé for some more sculpt and a dance class! I really have so much fun working out with these trainers…it doesn’t feel like a workout (even though I am sweating a lot, burning, and cursing at the trainers sometimes..haha) and the time flies by! After that it was time for another shower, and then I plopped myself on the couch for the rest of the afternoon until Michael got home from jujitsu. We went to my parent’s house for a bit to say hi…the boys and my sister were over again and I think Michael had lots of fun playing with the boys. It is just so adorable seeing him play with them. They love their Uncle Michael. The rest of the night was spent snuggling on the couch before heading to bed.
This morning started with this week’s New Year Best You Level Up 45 minute challenge class on obé which is sculpt and dance…it got me smiling, sweating, sore, and feeling so good so I kept my workout going by ending with a 3 mile run. Michael is working today (boo) so I don’t really have any plans for the day besides getting to the grocery store because we REALLY need food up in here. The fridge is looking pretttyyyy bare so I can’t wait to fill it up again with all the fruits and veggies!
Now it’s your turn!
What did you do this weekend?
Thanks for reading my blog today! I appreciate you and I hope you have a beautiful start to the new week ahead! Xoxo
