Weekend Review-First Weekend Of March

Happy Mondayyyyy! I hope you had a great weekend. Can you believe we are already one weekend into March? I cannot. I also cannot believe that some people are living in “spring/summer time weather” right now while we are getting a snow storm. As of right now, I can’t even see my car because it is buried in snow. Clearly it snows forever around here and I am sick of it. Vacation, where are you?

Real footage of me in this snow storm. HA!

I’m here to share a peek into my weekend! Spoiler alert: It was basically a weekend of workouts, naps, and relaxing…not too exciting!!

Friday after posting, like I said I was starting to feel a little better, so I went to my parent’s house since my sister and Enzo were visiting too. I stayed over there for about an hour until I started to feel like trash again (boo), and came home to rest on the couch for the rest of the day. I’m telling you, it isn’t fun for me to do nothing. I feel like I should be doing something whether its laundry, cleaning, vacuuming, etc. but I just let myself rest and watch Tangled. Michael got home from work and we eventually made our way into bed to nap. It was exactly what I needed even though I was fighting it. I napped for about an hour, Michael napped for longer, and then once he got up we went to the grocery store. Since we are party people we spent our Friday night snuggling on the couch and catching up on the latest episode of Ex on the Beach. (Haha.)

Saturday I think I could have slept all morning long, even though I was finally feeling more like myself (Thank you Jesus!)..but eventually got up at 7 to press play on two replay obé classes. I did a circuit and a strength class and they were amazing. I love when trainers pour positive affirmations and inspirational sayings into you during the workouts to motivate you. It was snowing all morning long which was pretty gross in my opinion, but I still managed to get my coffee and enjoy the morning while cleaning, doing laundry, and watching Sex and The City. I literally didn’t leave the house all day after getting my coffee and just hung around until Michael got home from work at 3. And then we didn’t do much of anything either, but I love it.

Sunday morning started with a quick 2.5 mile run, and then a sculpt class on obé replay. Michael and I went to church in the morning, once we got home he went to jujitsu and I went to my parent’s house since my sister and the boys were over there. If you follow me on Instagram, you already know that I attacked Gio with hugs and kisses since I hadn’t seen him ALL WEEK (he was in school when I saw my sister and Enzo, and mainly because I was sick). I was sooooo excited to see him and I secretly think he was just as excited as I was seeing as he let me squeeze and snuggle him for a couple minutes. I stayed over there for a little while and then made my way to pick up a few things at the grocery store, which was extremely packed by the way since “there is a snow storm coming” and so that apparently means every single person and their mother’s must go to the grocery store all at the same time, right? Haha. Joking. Somehow I always make it in and out of there within 10 minutes…self check out is a charm and a lady waiting in line behind me commented and said “wow girl, you are fast”..I wanted to reply with “yes lady I am here all the time, I am pretty much a pro” but just smiled back at her and laughed. Anywayyyys, I came home from the grocery store and put some music on and had a mini dance party in my living room before putting on a Hallmark movie until Michael got home. He eventually got home around 4 so we hung out, went to pick up dinner, and then relaxed for the night.

This morning started with a dance class and a sculpt class on obé replay followed by an express ab class, which was 10 minutes. I wanted to continue and do a HIIT class, but my muscles were shaking and I figured since I was super sweaty and will probably get in a treadmill workout later, I stopped there. And anyways, Michael was awake and I don’t really like when he watches me workout and look like a fool. (Do you feel that way if you work out at home and your boyfriend/husband/anyone is home watching you?) Haha. As far as today goes, I don’t have any plans (shocker! This girl hates snow.), but Michael is off today so hopefully I can get some time with him squeezed in at some point.

I hope you have a great day! Xoxo

Tell me:
What did you do this weekend?

Is it snowing where you live?

  1. Quiet weekend for me too … we had temperatures below zero every day AND we got snow AGAIN! I am pretty sure there is going to be some terrible FLOODING once the snow begins melting. This coming weekend we are supposed to have some warmer temps … BUT paired with the warmer temps can you guess it … SNOW!
Besides complaining about the snow I went grocery shopping, ran some errands with my mom, and started binge watching Criminal Minds. I am pretty sure its going to take forever to get through all of these episodes! 🙂
p.s. Where do you guys generally go for dinner? Sounds like you get dinner out quite a bit so it’d be cool to know where you generally like to go. Do you generally get the same thing?

    1. Oh no! I hope flooding isn’t too bad from the snow. Hopefully spring is coming soon! Every day I get a salad from a local pizza place for dinner, and either Michael gets take out from there or somewhere else or I cook him dinner at home. (Unless we are going out for a date night and have dinner reservations somewhere, but that isn’t often.) I am a creature of habit, and even though I can make a salad here it is just so easy to pick up a salad and then jazz it up at home with fruit and stuff! 🙂 Hope you’re having a great week!
