Hellooooo and Happy FRIDAY! I hope you have had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend. I am, however this weekend probably won’t look any different than every other weekend around here. Michael is actually working all weekend but I still hope to spend some time with him, and of course I’m sure I’ll be hanging out with my family as well.
This week actually looked pretty boring around here in my world. But, I did manage to spend some time outside, being as that is one of my top intentions for the summer. I would LOVE to live somewhere that’s always summertime. Dream with me…sunshine, warm weather, and HAPPINESS 24/7. Mmmm. That’s what I want. If you live somewhere that has summer all year round, I envy you in the best way, and I hope you enjoy that even if it does get a little “too hot” for you.
As you know I’ve been trying to enjoy summer as much as possible, so I’ve been taking it easy on the blog posts. Obviously I plan on getting back to writing more often, but for now I am just keeping it light and fun and just trying to take the pressure off of “having” to, because this is fun for me, and I don’t want it to ever feel like it isn’t.
With that being said, let’s get into a little Friday Catch Up! Yippeeeee!
It feels like it has been forever since I’ve been to the beach, even though we went on Sunday. I may or may be whining about not being at the beach every day, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel….we are supposed to go to the beach on Monday! Right now things are looking up because it’s supposed to a beautiful day…but let’s hope it cooperates and stays that way. Actually, it’s supposed to be beautiful all weekend long! And even though I won’t be at the beach every day like I want to be, I will most definitely try to enjoy the sunshine every day.
How we are at the end of July beats me. Summer goes by SO FAST and I can’t believe August 1st is next Thursday. I reeeeeeeally need time to slow down just a bit because it’s scary how fast it goes by. Gio is going to be 6 years old next month, and it still feels like it was just yesterday I was in the hospital for hours with my family waiting on his arrival. Michael actually has a couple days off at the end of next week, and while we aren’t going to be going overnight anywhere (BOO), I do hope we can take day trips to the beach or something.
My workouts this week have been GREAT. I’ve been pushing myself to give it my all and go ALL IN FULL OUT even if I think the couch is feeling great. Haha. Here’s this week’s workouts & what I plan for this weekend!
Monday: Express HIIT, Sculpt, Dance. PM Sculpt & Express Abs.
Tuesday: HIIT, Pilates, Sculpt x2. PM Express Abs.
Wednesday: Strength, Dance. PM Sculpt x2.
Thursday: Sculpt, Circuit, Pilates, Dance HIIT.
Friday: Dance HIIT, Sculpt, Dance. Afternoon Dance (most likely). PM Sculpt or Express Abs.
Saturday: 2 replay classes, most likely Strength & Dance later in the morning. PM Express Abs or Sculpt.
Sunday: 2 replay classes before church. PM Express Abs or Sculpt.
As you can tell, I’ve been mixing it up a bit and doing either a sculpt class and/or express abs at night. However, I felt like I needed an extra rest last night and honored my body in doing just that and I didn’t do an express class or a sculpt class before bed. And as always, if you have no idea what I am talking about with these classes, they can all be found on obé fitness, which is the program I have been doing since the end of November and have been OBSESSED with to the fullest. I haven’t missed a day of obé and have just been all around HAPPIER since finding this program! I reeeeally recommend you give them a peek and sign up for the free 7 day trial. I get NOTHING out of telling you to join, but I bet you will be hooked on it just as much as I am once you start. And then we can talk all about how much we love the workouts, the trainers, and the whole community. It will be fun 😉
Let’s talk about The Bachelorette. Because, I still feel greatly about it and can’t stop thinking about it. I know my opinion and thoughts about Luke P. have been all over the place this whole season, but ultimately I DON’T think that he is a psycho person that this show is portraying. The episode where Hannah kicked him out because of what he said at the dinner table during their “fantasy suite date” , in my opinion, was not anything bad. To me, he was sharing his heart with her and wanted to hear hers in return. I think that she was already mad at him and had some crazy thoughts running through her mind during the scene already or something, because I didn’t get that he was “shaming” her or telling her that she cannot do something/trying to control her. He was telling her what HE wants out of HIS future wife. Is that bad? Let’s say that he got all the way through to the final episode where he proposes to her, and then come to find out he watches this whole season back and sees exactly what she is doing with all of these men, with him being such a Godly man….do you think he would feel good about his decision to propose to a woman like that? I don’t know, and I don’t mean “a woman like that” in a bad way, I just mean I think he though him and Hannah were on the same page. I’m not saying that I agree with everything he has done this season and I am not saying that I agree with every word he has spoken this season, but I do feel like editing has made it seem like he is the bad guy in this. And then this week’s episode had me holding my breath because of all of the things that were said (and all of the laughs) to Luke during it. He was in the hot seat for the majority of the Men Tell All, but handled himself VERY well. I was so glad that he took the time to think about his responses before opening his mouth and without fighting back. And really, even if you “don’t like him”, even if you don’t agree with his values or his faith, and even if you don’t agree with how he acted towards the guys and to Hannah this season … WHAT kind of a human being would AGREE with what was happening in that moment when he was being bashed, slandered, and just all around bullied? I just don’t understand. My heart hurt really bad for this guy. And if you still feel like he is the worst person in the world and just all around crazy/controlling, I urge you to go to his Instagram page and read his posts and his perspective. Clearly him and Hannah were on different pages, but she made it seem like she was on the same page…or Luke just thought she was. I could literally go on and on about the show, and about my thoughts on Hannah, BUT I really don’t think you want to read all of that, but I will say that I don’t want to watch the show anymore. On another note, I will gladly watch Bachelor in Paradise because this season looks juicy and looks like it’s going to bring all the drama. 😉
There are some things going on that I can’t quite share here on the blog, as much as I want to, because I do have to keep some things private (especially if it is not directly about me, but about Michael or my family, etc.). It is crazy how God has things happen that you have been praying for, for years. It’s all in His timing, and even though there are some things that I personally have been praying for that I am still waiting on an answer about, I know that everything happens for a reason, and everything will work out exactly how He planned them to. I don’t know, but I want to encourage you today to keep on praying for whatever you are praying for, even if it seems like you have been praying and waiting for what seems like forever, because I feel you in that. I know what it feels like to pray and pray and pray and still have no answers. But in that season of waiting, there is an end to it…and it will be even better than what you expected. His plans always prevail and He has something amazing planned for you. And if ever you need a sister to pray with, or just chat with, I’m here for you!
And with that, I’m ending here, and going to enjoy this beautiful Friday! I hope you do the same! XOXO
