Goooood morning! Happy Monday to you! It is a NEW week, NEW month, and I am so ready for it. Now if only this month would just slow down a bit so that summer could last a little longer, that would be great!
Before getting into this weekend’s recap, I wanted to share something. I have been applying to a few jobs here and there for the fall, and I had an interview on Wednesday. If you follow me on Instagram then maybe you had already heard the news because I shared about it afterwards, since my nerves were high and I didn’t want to talk about it on there (or here) before. So yes, I had an interview at a school, I used to teach and I thought it would be good to get back into it, since I do love kids! The interview went well, but I still haven’t heard anything back. Now let me just say I have complete faith that whatever is meant to be, will be, and if this job is right for me then God will put it in my path, but if not…then no big deal. It is pretty frustrating for me to give up control about it, and I am definitely one to worry, but this is definitely something that I have to give up control of and give my worries to God and just TRUST him. I totally believe that He will put whatever is meant for me in my path. I know my worth, and I know what I do deserve, so I know that the “perfect job” or perfect whatever will come my way if this isn’t it.
And now, without further rambling, I’m giving you a peek into my weekend! We had such a beautiful weekend around here, sunshine and warm weather is all I need in the summer! I hope you had a great weekend also!
I started my Friday with none other than a workout before heading to the beach for the day with Michael! My workout was Dance HIIT, Strength, & another Dance HIIT on obé. After my workout, I got ready, drank some coffee, packed up the cooler, and packed our bags before we were off to the beach! The beach that we go to regularly is about an hour and a couple minutes away, depending on traffic it can take a little bit longer closer to an hour and a half, but really the drive isn’t bad at all. I think my car just automatically goes there now, haha..joking. We found our spot on the beach and just enjoyed the beautiful day, really there was not a cloud in sight and it wasn’t too hot either. Perfect beach day!
We left the beach around 2, in order to avoid that Friday traffic because we knew we would have regretted it if we left any later. On the way, I stopped to get a coffee before getting on the highway because that is now my go to whenever driving home from the beach, especially since Michael usually dozes off and I am left with being terrified of falling asleep. But, loud music (especially the Pitfall station on Sirius radio) which results in dance parties (as always), and coffee fixes that and perks me right up!
We got home from the beach a little after 3:30 where I proceeded to lay on the couch for the rest of the day. Seriously, I think spending time at the beach and driving there and back just kind of takes a toll on me and wipes me out. Haha. However, I did get a workout in before going in bed. I did an express standing abs class and also an express arms class. Both were pretty steamy!
I started my Saturday like every other, with a workout! I did a replay sculpt class and a replay dance class. Both were super challenging, I swear I sweat the MOST when I do a dance cardio or dance HIIT class. Phew! I’m talking drenched! Anyways, later in the morning my sister picked me me up so I could tag along to go to the bakery with them. My sister had to pick up some goodies and of course the boys had each a cookie! Spongebob for Enzo and a dinosaur for Gio!
After that, I went over their house for a couple hours to play before coming home and doing absolutely nothing. I can’t even tell you what I did all day, and the reason is that I did nothing. I don’t know, relaxing just sounded SO good to me. Pretty boring, but hey…life isn’t all exciting every single day ya know! But Michael and I did go to the fruit & veggie stand 20 minutes away from our house, so that was our excitement of the day! And before bed, I did an express abs class and an express inner thigh class.
Sunday morning started with a workout! I did a sculpt replay, and two dance replays. I felt really good and just wanted to keep it going, but knew that I should probably stop in order to get ready for church. It was so nice to go to church with Michael, since two weeks ago we skipped and went to the beach, and then last week I was teaching Sunday School..and it was extra special because my parents were there also! And, since church has summer hours for the rest of this month, I could have some fruit and coffee before going to service, which is always appreciated.
After church, Michael and I relaxed for a little while until we headed out to the grocery store to stock up on a few things. Later in the afternoon, we went to the movie theater to watch Fast & Furious: Hobbs and Shaw. It was a very good movie, and kept me entertained the whole entire time. I think that says a lot because sometimes (especially in movie theaters) I get bored easily or tired, but this movie was reallllly good! I definitely recommend it. And bonus, two of my favorite men are in it! 😉 Haha.
After the movie, we went to my parent’s house since everyone was over there, but we only stayed for a little bit before coming home to once again relax. I ended my day with two express abs classes!
This morning started with a sculpt and dance class on obé before getting ready to once again go to the BEACH! 🙂 Yes my friend, Michael and I are headed to the beach again today and I am excited. Hopefully we will get in a couple more beach days before the summer is over, but I don’t even want to think of that.
I hope you have a fabulous day! XOXO
Tell me, what did you do this past weekend?!
