First Blog Post of 2020

Anddddd just like that, we are already in the second day of 2020. How did that happen? I have no idea. But here we are and I’m coming on here with my first blog post of 2020 to say a big huge HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Our New Year’s Eve celebration was very similar to last year! We spent the night with my sister, brother in law, and nephews and this grandma stayed up way past her bedtime and rang in the new year with my jammies on. Wouldn’t want to do it any other way, that’s for sure. 😉

I spent the first day of 2020 doing some of my favorite things: taking obé classes (use code FRIEND30 for 30% off your first month using that link), drinking coffee, eating fruit, watching The Holiday (twice mind you! Lifetime was so generous yesterday and aired it twice!) & watching Disney Plus, hanging out with my sister and nephews, spending time with Michael, doing laundry, cleaning, going to Target, and snuggling on the couch. I mean…my literal dream life. (Okay, joking, just add in some babies in there too and then that would be my dream life. Haha!) It was such a good first day of 2020 and I am so looking forward to every single day this year.

I go back to work today and truthfully it really doesn’t feel like a Thursday; more like a Monday or something? I don’t even know. This whole break from work was so wonderful with Michael and I am so grateful to have been able to spend this time with him before he goes on his way to dive into his new career. Selfishly I wish I had today and tomorrow off with him too, but such is life. Luckily we will have the weekend together before that big day on Monday! I definitely have to get back into the groove of my “new” routine of waking up early, working out, and going to work. This morning’s 5am wake up call was pretty icky, and I’m sure it will be for the next couple work days, but hey I survived…barely. Haha joking. I’m hoping to get back into feeling like I “love” my job like I had felt during my first week of working at the new school. Since I’ve had a nice, long break off I am really not feeling it and just want to not go if I am being honest. Technically I am still on my “training” hours of 8-12:30 today and tomorrow, which is perfect, and I think my hours will change come next week, but I still have yet to hear.

That’s all I’ve got for you today! Happy New Year! Praying you have a year filled with happiness and many blessings! XOXO

Did you go out for NYE or did you stay in?
