Hi friend! Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a great week so far. I’m so happy we are halfway to Friday!
I figured I would pop in today for a little catch up blog post, since I’ve been sharing lots of pregnancy updates and not really “life” updates recently. However, life is pretttty boring during these quarantined times, but I am trying to make the best of it! And we had a wonderful Easter weekend!
Wednesday Catch Up: Easter Weekend 2020
Easter Weekend wasn’t typical since we couldn’t actually do anything, but we definitely had a beautiful weekend regardless!
We watched our church livestream to our TV Easter morning. I am so thankful that our church has been doing that (as well as most churches) and we are still able to “have church” even at home in our jammies.
We FINALLY got to see my nephews, outside and distanced however, and my pregnant heart really couldn’t take it. I hadn’t seen them in like a month, which was so hard for me, but being able to see them and hear their sweet voices and laughter was THE BEST!
I cannot believe that next Easter we will have our baby here to celebrate with too! By April, baby should be around 7 months old (ish). HOW FUN is that going to be! Eek! So exciting!!
Having to wear masks to the grocery store, etc. definitely stresses me the heck out. Saturday, Michael and I went to the grocery store because we needed some essentials and of course we wore the masks. However, I am very grateful that we have them and are able to wear them out. But I think I do much better with wearing them when Michael is around because when I’m not with him, I totally have a panic attack and can’t breathe in that thing. Hahaha.
I am actually feeling MUCH better this week emotional wise compared to every single week Michael has been gone since January. There are only a couple more Mondays (if that) that he has to leave so I am just trying to think about that and keep looking at the positives! Because there IS a silver lining even during this mess.
I also think it has to do with me being able to “see” my family, even if it is just lots of FaceTime chats. I’m so thankful for FaceTime right now! It literally helps break up my day, my Mom and I FaceTime a couple times a day and it makes me (almost) feel like I actually got to “see” her that day.
And of course, being able to hangout with my family on Sunday even though it was “distanced”, it was SO good for me.
I also think that I am feeling much better this week because it’s my birthday week! Yes friends, I turn THIRTY on Saturday. You knowww I love my birthday but this year is extra special because we are finding out baby’s gender! I will share that next week!!
I can’t believe these are my last three days as a 29 year old. It feels like just yesterday I was celebrating my 29th birthday. I went into this year praying that this year would be my “best ever” and boyyy was I blown away by what God has done for me (well, my husband and I) this year. There were obviously struggles but so many blessings and I praise Him through it all. I’m just feeling so grateful!
I hope you have a great day! Xoxoxo!
