My Pregnancy: Weeks 28, 29, & 30

Woah baby. I cannot believe I am THIRTY WEEKS PREGNANT today! Time is literally flying by and I cannot believe in just about 10 weeks we will have our boy here!!

Bump Updates

Week 28

Baby Joey is the size of an eggplant, Dorothy’s ruby red slippers from Wizard of Oz, a rollerblade, or a bowl of cereal. Officially in the THIRD TRIMESTER!

Week 29

Baby Joey is the size of an acorn squash, a Mr. Potato Head, the Mad Hatter’s teapot from Alice in Wonderland, a Barbie convertible car, or a fanny pack.

Week 30

Baby Joey is the size of a cauliflower, Slinky Dog from Toy Story, or a bike helmet. Baby boy is getting BIG in there!!

Symptoms:

Still hardly feeling pregnant besides this growing bump and feeling him move around in there 24/7. I guess I am a pretty boring pregnant person since I don’t really have any common “symptoms”…okay well then again I do have one symptom: having to PEE ALL THE TIME! Literally every 5 minutes.

Food Cravings/ Food Aversions:

I’ve been all about cinnamon raisin everything…cinnamon raisin toast, cinnamon raisin english muffins, cinnamon raisin bagels…basically anything with cinnamon, raisins, and bread. HA. Also, I’ve still been loving dairy free coconut whipped cream with chocolate chips. I literally have it every night for dessert. Mmmmm. So good!

Sleep:

I still love my sleep, and still get lots of it (I guess my body is just soaking up all of the sleep I can get now, haha). My sleep hasn’t really been any different; I still go to bed early (grandma) around 9:30/10pm, and wake up around 6:30/7…sometimes even closer to 8. So yeah, my sleeping has not been disrupted at all. Of course some nights are interrupted by peeing a lot, getting excited about baby, or just not sleeping well in general. But overall, I am still able to get comfortable and enjoy sleep. 😉

Workouts:

Still lucky to be working out every day! I’ve mainly been doing low impact workouts on obé, including (my favorite) prenatal & regular barre & sculpt classes. Of course some days I do dance cardio classes, but the majority of my workouts include barre & sculpt classes. What can I say, they have just been my favorite during this pregnancy!

Excited about/ Looking forward to:

EVERYTHING! We put some things together for Joey the past couple of weeks (his crib, his bassinet), hung some decor up, and organized his “nursery” to make space for all of his things. Our next projects will include building his dresser, and changing table, and putting his car seat in my car!

Doctors appointments/ Updates:

As I wrote in my last blog post, I passed my glucose test two weeks ago and had another doctors appointment this past Monday. I go to the doctors every two weeks instead of every four since I am in my third trimester (omg, so crazy). My doctor said my bump is measuring right on track and baby boy’s heartbeat is staying nice and strong at 143-147! My next appointment is for a growth scan ultrasound, and I am excited to see bubby again!!

  1. Love it Kayla! I can’t believe how far along you are! I can’t wait for you to share a photo or two of the nursery! Have you had your baby shower yet? I can’t remember if you’ve shared that or not?
